Founded in 1997 by James R. Varrell, MD, and part of CFG’s Health Network, Center for Family Guidance, PC is dedicated to providing the highest quality behavioral health services to individuals, families and organizations.
We achieve this through our experienced and compassionate staff, the convenience and accessibility of our practice, and an unwavering commitment to the belief that success in relationships is the foundation for personal well-being. In addition to our outpatient services, CFG extends behavioral health services to hospitals, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), schools, community service organizations, residential services, and more.
Since 1999, Center for Family Guidance, PC has been at the forefront of telebehavioral health in New Jersey. Founder and Medical Director Dr. Jim Varrell performed the nation’s first commitment via telepsychiatry and has been a leading advocate for the appropriate use of telepsychiatry to enhance access to care. In 2008, Array Behavioral Care was established after providing services for over a decade as a component of the Center for Family Guidance, PC and its partner companies, and CFG Health Network.
Today, Array is the largest telepsychiatry service provider in the nation, having entered a new partnership with Harbour Point Capital. Array and the CFG Health Network continue collaborating, offering onsite and telehealth services to partners in various care settings.
