Founded in 1997 by James R. Varrell, MD, and part of CFG’s Health Network, Center for Family Guidance, PC is dedicated to providing the highest quality behavioral health services to individuals, families and organizations.

We do this through the experience and expertise of our staff, the convenience and accessibility of our practice and through an uncompromising commitment to the principle that success in relationships is the foundation on which personal well-being can be achieved.

Center for Family Guidance, PC has been a pioneer of telebehavioral health in New Jersey. Telebehavioral health is the use of state-of-the-art audio and video telecommunications equipment to deliver behavioral health care when the patient and practitioner are at different locations.

This technology allows for a patient-to-provider interaction that closely replicates physically being present and allows for expert treatment to patients in locations distant from the primary caregiver. Moreover it allows for 24 hours per day, 7 days a week access, effectively providing ongoing crisis intervention.
